Lockdown 2/28 - Not To Plan ...
Day 2 of my diary of a LOTR Fan Museum owner during our 4 week national lockdown - in NZ we’re uniting as a country to beat Covid-19 before anyone has died. It’s wonderful, but …
Today I have to report an epic fail in my new job - to STAY HOME and be kind.
I’m having an almighty row with my best beloved, and I don’t even know why. Also, I can’t seem to climb down from my high horse.
It didn’t help that it dawned with rain, and I stood on the cat’s tail when I got up first thing (and now he’s glaring at me every chance he gets). So a small clash of words has turned into a major armed silence, punctuated with a few shouting matches (me shouting, him calm and looking wounded). (He’s regarded as pretty much a saint for putting up with yours truly, eg, he isn’t a LOTR fan!!! Photo below captures his golden glow.)
What is going on here? I thought I was a nice person, but I just can’t seem to find that space right now. I’ve been having lots of cool ideas for this blog, so it’s pretty gutting to get to day 2 and be down and out. Is the only way up? Hey JRR, what are the words of wisdom for petty fights and nastiness? Help me out here. Well, maybe tomorrow’s entry will be more worth reading. Wishing everyone grappling with this virus crisis to be well and safe - and that your lockdown is smoother.
