Lockdown 40/47 – There's work to do

Day 40 of my diary of a LOTR Fan Museum owner during our national lockdown (extended from 28 to 47 days: 33 at level 4, 14 at L3) – in NZ we’re uniting as a country to beat Covid-19 to break the chain and save lives, but …

40 days … it has a ring to it! Very symbolic. 40 days of doing a new job, STAY HOME, be kind. Before that I ran a home-based LOTR fan museum, where I had such fun sharing LOTR fandom with other fans. It was a complete blast and it was growing … . Then Covid-19 stopped this small enterprise in its tracks. Of course this is a small story amidst the blaze of destruction worldwide to people’s lives and livelihoods.

And, I am safe and well, as are those I love. For those things I am so eternally grateful.

I keep thinking, wondering is there is any going back?

So, once again I draw inspiration from Sam - “I shan’t call it the end, till we’ve cleared up the mess, and that’ll take a lot of work”.

Yep, going into the future is going to take work and a bit of heartache, but it isn’t the end. One day I won’t be torn in two.

My thoughts today are for all those facing rebuilding. Good energy and best wishes, Kathy xx
