Lockdown 7/28 – Being Tested

Day 7 of my diary of a LOTR Fan Museum owner during our 4 week national lockdown - in NZ we’re uniting as a country to beat Covid-19 to break the chain and save lives, but …

In my new job of STAY HOME and be kind, we’re only allowed to leave home for exercise, groceries and medical stuff, and we have to stay local.

Truth is, I’ve been feeling unwell for most of the this week of lockdown, but it’s just felt like a normal autumn cold/flu, with sniffles and a massive headache. But a few days ago I started dry coughing.

Today I felt so lousy, my house buddy (sister) said I had to check if I need to be tested for Covid – really because my beloved works at a hospital (even though it’s backroom). I rang the Healthline, and they sent me for testing. We all think it will just be a cold thing.

We all went down in case the whole pod needs to be tested, but only me.

Ughh, the testing. It’s not fun, but at least it’s quick. I’ll know in a couple of days. Meantime, even more home isolation measures.

I can’t think of anything JRR for this. But best wishes to all you folks being tested out there - whether for Covid-19 or just being tested by the changes we’re all facing. Kathy
